Rocca 3 weights approximately 6 lb (2.7 kg)
The thin, floating back plate is crafted from an aircraft-grade carbon fiber-wood-carbon fiber assembly. The guitar was engineered to avoid contact between the back sound plate and the mahogany-maple center block; enhancing the instrument’s acoustic properties.
The fretboard is made of Pao Ferro and its radius is compound (10” to 16”). A dual acting truss-rod is installed, having easy access to adjustment at the end of the fretboard.
Twenty-Two, size 6105 Stainless-steel frets are set in order to assure smooth playing and reduced maintenance.
Fretboard edges are rolled off to improve ergonomics. Hand-Cut mother of pearl inlays are selected to define the fretting positions. The guitar’s scale length is 24.75”, propelling a beautiful, buttery tone and making bending more fluid.
American quarter-sawn maple for the neck shaft to provide maximum stability thus enhancing the instruments resonance.
The neck is shaped in a ‘Smooth V transitioning to C’ fashion in order to assure ergonomics.
The cutaway is specially designed to promote easy access to the guitar’s 22 frets.
The pickups are U.S.A. Seymour Duncan Seth Lover sets. Hand built in the U.S.A. exactly the way Seth Lover designed, these faithful P.A.F.s deliver a warm airy, open tone by striking just the right balance of low end warmth with a smooth but articulate top end. The Alnico 2 bar magnet helps to sweeten the high end response. Chords will have a full, open sound, and single notes will have a soft, yet articulate feel.
